Star Health Data Leaked: The users of Star Health Insurance have got a big shock. Actually, data of a large number of users has allegedly been leaked. About two weeks ago, the company had filed a case against social media platform Telegram and an unknown hacker regarding data breach. At the same time, on Wednesday suddenly a website appeared, which is selling the data of 3.1 crore users of Star Health. Users’ data is being sold on this website for $150,000.
This website has been created by a hacker named xenZen. The website claims that it has the data of 31,216,953 users. This data includes sensitive data of users. This includes users’ PAN card details, home address and other information. All this data is available for sale on https://starhealthleak.st.
The hacker has written on his website, “I am leaking the data of all the customers and insurance claims of Star Health India. This leak is sponsored by Star Health and its associated insurance companies, who have sold this data directly to me.” At present it is not clear whether this website has been created by the same person against whom the company had filed a case.
Sample given to 500 people
The hacker has claimed that he also has videos of both the chats. Besides, he also has emails in the name of an official person of Star Health. Not only this, the hacker is also selling all the data. According to reports, all this data is till July 2024, about which the hacker has given information on his website. For the credibility of this data, the hacker has also given a data sample of 500 random people. It includes the names of more than a dozen Indian government officials.
